WKWW Architects designs Education spaces for pre-school age children, students in kindergarten through 12th grade, and for adults. Some classroom designs serve both Sunday School and Weekday School educational programs. Our Education facility layouts consider security for student, teacher, and staff safety as well as incorporate the latest educational support technology. Many Education facilities also house Youth areas. The Youth areas often accommodate recreational activities, meals/snacks, various sized gatherings, and other Youth fellowship events. Pre-school and Youth areas can be designed with dedicated entrances to eliminate the need for access through other spaces.

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Phase 2
High Point, NC
A new 9500 SF education and administration expansion was designed to replace an inefficient existing 1950’s era building. The new addition utilizes heavy timber framing, brick, stone and Tudor style to seamlessly blend in and enhance the original church building. A new heavy timber porte cochere marks the new main entrance into a large central gathering space. The building is scaled to sit comfortably with the neighboring houses and wraps around the perimeter of the site to form an intimate garden courtyard in the center of the church campus.
