Worship

WKWW Architects has provided new designs for Worship as well as renovations, additions, and expansions to existing Worship spaces for over 60 years.  These designs include seating for small groups in chapels to seating for large congregations in church sanctuaries.  WKWW Architects incorporates the latest technology in Worship designs including the most advanced audio visual systems, theatrical and LED lighting, and television broadcast capabilities.

Projects

Mt. Vernon Baptist Church

Olin, NC

After providing Programming and Master Planning for the church campus, this new Georgina style Sanctuary was selected to be the next building phase along with additional needed parking and site work. Future phases were also planned that include a large expansion for the existing Fellowship Hall and a new two story Education Building.

The new Sanctuary is designed to seat over 365 worshipers plus an additional 35 seats in the choir area. This area is also designed with two temporary rooms at the back of the worship space.  Based on future needs, the two temporary rooms can be removed and additional pews installed to bring the total worship space seating capacity to over 540 people.

Audio and video systems were integrated into the worship space as part of the initial design and are controlled from a central location.

The new Sanctuary is designed to blend with and complement the existing campus structures. The new Sanctuary has similar brick, shingles, and exterior trim work as on the existing buildings. For economy a metal building pre-engineered structure was used in lieu of masonry or conventional steel framing. The new facility adds over 10,400 square feet to the church campus.
