After working through the programming and long range planning process with WKWW Architects, to meet their current Sunday and weekday program education needs, Blackwelder Park Baptist Church elected to add a new Day Care building as their next project.
This new 10,000 SF addition houses ten (10) new classrooms for children age birth through 5 years old. In addition to the classrooms the new facility houses a resource room, a multipurpose room, a work room, break room and administrative space for the weekday and Sunday school staff. The new building has an enclosed walkway that serves as a connector to the existing facilities. A covered drive was added on the front of the building for pick up and drop off of weekday children.
This project also includes the expansion of an existing fellowship hall kitchen with the addition of commercial food preparation equipment.
This new Georgian style building is designed to be expandable and to compliment and blend with the existing church campus, as well as with a planned new sanctuary building which will be sited adjacent to the new Day Care building.
