Columbaria

The new Christian Enrichment Center addition uses Neo-Gothic detailing of stone and stucco to economically and durably compliment the original sanctuary building of solid stone masonry.  The expansion more than doubles the square footage of the CEC (both designed by WKWW).  New facilities include basketball and volleyball courts with retractable goals; a permanent stage with integrated audio/video and lighting for drama, music and contemporary worship for 450 people; a large youth suite with classrooms, office and youth activity room; children’s classrooms and large storage areas for each ministry.

Because this multipurpose space is used for performances as well as recreation, acoustic attenuation materials were integrated within the wood trim on wall and ceiling surfaces to control sound reflection.  Large window areas with laminated safety glass allow ample natural light into the room.
